3-Ingredient Butter Cookies Using Airfryer

November 08, 2015 11 Comments A+ a-

I wanted to bake some quick and easy butter cookies using my airfryer, and out came this 3-ingredient butter cookie recipe; my go-to recipe if I need to bake something fast. It's made of just flour, butter and sugar - yes, so simple. These cookies are really rich and buttery, like shortbread, and simply everyone's favourite!

Of course, you can impress by decorating it with some coloured icing, chocolate rice or simply make cute hedgehog cookies like what I did. Let your creativity flow and have fun!

Note: The recipe below is really for the purpose of baking some quick and easy cookies, hence only a portion of 12 pieces. Go ahead and double the portion if you need to :)

3-Ingredient Butter Cookies Using Airfryer
Yield: 12 cookies

Ingredients
70g plain/ top/ cake flour
50g unsalted butter
20g castor sugar

Directions
1) Cream butter and sugar.

2. Mix in the flour to form a soft dough.

3. Wrap the dough in a cling wrap and freeze it for 15 to 30 min till the dough firms up.

4. The dough, when firmed up, will enable easier shaping. You can now preheat the airfryer at 140 degrees for 5 min.

5. Weigh 10g of dough and shape it into your desired shape.

6. Bake in airfryer at 140 degrees for 14 min till the cookies are golden brown.
If you want to have fun with your cookie cutters, at Step 4 before baking, roll your dough out flat and make your own cute shapes!

If you want to make these cute hedgehog cookies out of the above butter cookie recipe, read on in the link here!

Hi, place the dough in the normal compartment or the frozen compartment for 30min? Thanks!

In the frozen compartment. But if your frozen compartment is too cold (or colder than mine), perhaps 15 min will do. I use frozen compartment so that it can solidify faster :)

I see, sorry to hear that! Did you measure the ingredients correctly? If they look dry, feel free to add more butter - in batches of 10g - till the dough is of the correct texture that you see in the photos :)

Sure, feel free to adapt this recipe! It's a basic butter cookie recipe. Let us know how it goes :) And yes, you can use the standard basket of course! I used the pot stand so that the base area of the AF is larger and I can bake more each time!

I made these the day I opened my air fryer. Perfect for 2 of us! I made others too. Sugar cookies with egg, vanilla, baking powder and soda abd a pinch of cream of tartar. Rolled dough like slice bake wrapped in Saran wrap. My grandson had a blast making them just like you instructed. So much fun! Thank you.
