How to Create a Shiny Glossy Chocolate Ganache Glaze Finish

A layer of shiny glossy chocolate ganache always gives cakes a professional looking finish. Of course, it also helps to cover any mistakes that you may have.

Here's how to achieve that look using airfryer and conventional methods. Quick and easy!

Shiny Glossy Chocolate Ganache Glaze
Yield: Covers one 6-inch cake

Ingredients
50g heavy cream (at least 38% fat)
50g bakeable chocolate chips
1.5 tbsp honey

Directions
1) Boil cream in airfryer at 120 degrees for 8 min.

If using convention method: Heat the cream until it is just boiling and simmering.

2) Add chocolate chips and honey. Let it sit for a few minutes.

3) Stir continuously in circular motion until smooth and there are no more lumps.

4) With your cake on a wire rack (I use a steaming rack as alternative), pour the ganache slowly over the centre at the top of the cake.

Tips: Place a layer of baking paper below the wire rack to help with the clean-up. You can even use the dripped chocolate later!

5) Let the ganache fall over the sides. Use a flat spatula to even out the ganache around top and sides.

Tips: A round turntable (or even lazy susan) would be really helpful too, if you have one!
Done!
